For some of us it's important for our laptops to look as good as they perform. After all, technology needn't be drab.

You shouldn't have to haul a dull grey laptop in a ho-hum, unnoticed way out of your briefcase, feeling the unspoken scorn of those around. Grab the nearest svelte pocket and match it with one of our hot picks below. Then you can unveil your sexy laptop to an awe-struck hush and draw the oohs and aahs of your envious peers.

They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but you're sure to find something here that will soothe the aesthete within.

Apple MacBook Air (Core 2 Duo 1.86GHz, Nvidia GeForce 9400M)

If you weren't a fan of the previous MacBook Air, nothing will change your mind here. It does, however, present an excellent user experience. We can only hope the next revision is a little more feature-laden.

    Shame on You! :) What about Compaq Presario CQ70? Beautiful design at a VERY affordable price. BTW if pc's fail coupled with windows, I suggest you linux, Ubuntu for example: Nice, clean, STABLE.

    the pc laptops fail when they are coupled with windows os. macs are the complete package.

    The scores included are the overall score for each laptop taken from their respective reviews, not just from a beauty perspective. While I agree the Envy is an amazing piece of engineering, it's sadly not available in Australia.

    Voodoo envy is easily the nicest looking one compared to these. VAIO's are very nice as well. Finally companies are seeing that we want something the runs great but looks the part.

    Is this rating of function or style? Cause I'm confused. How is that Dell manage a 8.5 while the Air only gets 7.7? And you don't have a rating for any of the VAIO's.
