The newest Humble Bundle packages up some of the best games on Android, including our top mobile game for 2012, The Room, appearing on Android now for the first time.

Last year, we had the genuine pleasure of playing Fireproof Games' The Room. Designed for iOS, the premise was built around a series of puzzle boxes: 3D objects that you have to explore and solve, unravelling the mystery as you go. It was, in short, incredible — sweeping a bunch of awards, including Apple's game of the year, our game of the year and the BAFTA for Best British Game.

Now, the title has finally launched for Android, and is being offered as part of the Humble Mobile Bundle, a suite of six top games for Android.

Although Humble Bundle has released five Android bundles previously, it is billing the new bundle as the "first ever Humble Mobile Bundle", and includes four games whatever price you pay:

  • Contre Jour (AU$1.99), the gorgeous physics puzzler that swept this year's SXSW Best in Show

  • Anomaly: Korea (AU$3.99), a top-down tower defence and sequel to hit game Anomaly: Warzone Earth

  • Plants vs. Zombies (AU$0.99)

  • Bladeslinger (AU$2.87), a cowboy-themed third-person brawler.

Pay over the average (US$5.56 at the time of writing), and you get two additional games:

  • Metal Slug 3 (AU$1.71), a remake of the 2000 side-scrolling arcade shooter

  • The Room, released exclusively for Android with the Humble Bundle (although it will come independently to Google Play soon).

It's a neat deal, and, as with all Humble Bundle deals, you can divvy up where your money goes: to the Humble Bundle website, to the developers and to the charities the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) and Child's Play.
