Top 10 digital cameras of JanuaryCasio's compact camera lineup dominated the readers' choice this month, occupying four places in the top 10.

Slim snapshots were definitely the flavour of the month, with all but Canon's EOS 30D digital SLR svelte offerings weighing in under 250 grams. And as Kodak's EasyShare-One wireless offering snuck into last spot at number ten, we wonder if Wi-Fi cameras really will be the next big thing?

Bought this at a computer store for $689. Stunning image quality (8 megapixels), very easy to use, largest LCD screen possible - 2.5"! Compact, lightweight. Only negative is relatively low zoom but can buy a doubler for the lens.

Canon Digital IXUS 55

Decent image quality and a well-rounded snapshot feature set make the high-performance ultracompact Canon Digital IXUS 55 one of the better choices in the current IXUS lineup.

Reader Opinion
I like this camera. It is light, stylish, good quality picture, good LCD. It feature also unlimited (until memory runout) record of VGA quality video with sound. The only problem is battery is not good as expected. It can take about 100 picture for a single charge. It is not enough for full day use.
