There's a smorgasbord of speaker docks available to iPod (and iPhone) owners that choosing one from the pack can be a little tricky. Some will sound like your music is echoing out of the cardboard box the player came in, while others will sound excellent but cost a small fortune.

We've collected our top picks for iPod speakers that will fill the dance floor or the recital hall, no matter what your budget, from the AU$189.95 Cygnett speakers to the AU$1000 B&W Zeppelin and Bose SoundDock systems. You might also want to check out the Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin Mini, which is around half the price of its big brother, with a few more features as well.

Cygnett Maestro Portable Speaker System for iPhone & iPod

The Maestro does a lot of things right for its AU$189.95 asking price. It produces good sound and is cross-compatible with a range of iPods and iPhones, but it's also light on exciting features.
