Top-rated products of February 2012

Although February 2012 saw not a single Editors' Choice award given out, there were nevertheless quite a few gadgets worthy of your time.

First things first: February was PlayStation Vita month. Sony has once again come up with a rip-snorter portable gaming device — but it may end up crippled by proprietary hardware and high prices.

Speaking of gaming, Craig got his hands on an Alienware desktop, the X51. There were some jealous eyes, especially when he concluded that the X51 delivered on its promises.

Lexy didn't find any cameras of note this month, but she did enjoy the Panasonic DMW-LVF2 viewfinder as an alternative to a digital screen, while Stephen Dawson and Derek Fung spent some time in the home cinema checking out the Onkyo TX-NR709 A/V receiver and Panasonic PT-AE7000E projector, respectively.

The Samsung Galaxy Note got put through its paces, but even though it has some pretty nice specs and features, it might be just too big to fit into pockets. What do you think: do the pros outweigh the con?
