November was a bumper month for phones, with four handsets making our Editors' Choice cut.
Seamus Byrne gave the iPhone 4S a run for its money, and found that, yes, it did perform as well as he expected, and gave it a controversially high score, citing its smooth user experience and software options as solid examples of the phone's excellence.
Joseph Hanlon, meanwhile, admired the HTC Sensation XL, saying it proved the adage "bigger is better" — and it doesn't hurt that it comes packaged with a pair of Beats by Dr Dre headphones.
The HP EliteBook 8560w impressed Craig Simms with its high-end specs and build quality; it's not cheap by any stretch of the imagination, but its performance justifies the price. Michelle Starr, on the other hand, likes the new Kobo Touch eReader, which, she says, has a user experience that is head and shoulders above other E Ink readers on the market.
Finally, Alexandra Savvides gave the Canon PowerShot S100 the thumbs-up. It produces excellent images, she says, and the design improvements address problems users found with the previous model.
