Toyota Yaris YR (2005)

By Derek Fung on 29 January 2008

It's ironic but the funkiest looking Toyota is also the cheapest. The Yaris range begins here with the 1.3-litre, 3-door YR.

    • Good: Spacious, economical, reliable, does most things well
    • Bad: Engine noisy when pushed, seats could be better

This is a great little car! While no sports machine it drives well, is economical and value for money. Great in tight parking spots.

    • Good: Keyless entry
    • Bad: Only one reverse light so looks like the drivers side reverse light is faulty. Same goes for the rear fog light - only one of them also and that's on the right hand side.

The cheapest plastic so expect lots of scratches and dirty marks within days.

The driver can't see the front of the car which makes parking hard.

Feels comfortable like my old car.
