Another of the myths the show will explore during its Shark Week episode is the idea that sharks are innately attracted to movement, and that a shark would be more likely to attack a dying fish that is flapping around than one that's dead and not moving at all.
Here, MythBusters star Adam Savage builds a "fish flapper" contraption that he thinks can be used to yank a dead fish, or some sort of imitation dead fish, up and down to simulate the flapping effect the MythBusters want to investigate. Here, as he works in the MythBusters' main shop in San Francisco on February 27, Savage is filmed by a cameraman. The footage will be used in the episode to show the process of creating the fish flapper.
