
As they worked on their fish flapper experiment, Hyneman and Savage discovered there wasn't enough weight on the line the fish was connected to to allow the fish flapper device to properly get the fish moving around the way they wanted. So they added a lead weight to the line, in hopes that that would achieve the desired effect.
