Plays back progressive scan, full quality DVD video
Entirely USB powered when connected to a PC/Mac
The bad:
Expensive
Menu selection a touch tricky for the consumer market
The bottomline:
If you're a high quality video junkie -- or for some perfectly legal reason have lots of DivX movies -- then the highly portable iZak should appeal. For the general consumer, however, it's hard to get excited about the iZak, which fares badly against a highly competitive field.

Bought it at Harvey Norman. Superb video quality, especially when playing back ISO files using my plasma with component input.
I take it where ever I go.
Bought it, used it, but no too hapy about it. Quality output is ok, but there are many other cheaper options such as Mvisto. Same product different name. No a truly portable device and it does get hot quite fast.
I bought my 80G iZak after reading the positive review in T3 Magazine (March 05). I went to Harvey Norman to check it out for myself. Conclusion: Very Nice!! It delivers top video quality on my plasma at home going component input, and optical digital into my sound system. Love that it can deliver MP3's in digital audio!!
For me I've found the iZak to be easy to use and worth every cent paid.
I bought mine 4 weeks ago at Harvey Norman, I know, a week later found out that there were other products very similar in fact almost the same but $200 less expensive!!!
The other products are LaCie and MVisto. However after 4 weeks I think the product is not worth even $600 Is far from being a portable device.
The main turn off are: 1) It gets very hot very quickly in fact I don't feel is safe. 2) You cannot watch a video whilst connected to the PC very annoying when you have to unplug it every time to watch your stuff. 3) Does not come with the necesary accesories to be able to get HD. The accesories are extra and no surprise here - very expensive.
