Not sure why SCART and the lack of DVI is such an issue. Adaptors that turn DVI to HDMI and Component, S-video and Composite to SCART are readily available. My Sony DVD record has only SCART and the included adapter works fine.

Wanted a bedroom tv on a budget of $1000 and saw this. The store had HD clips showing on all comparative models and this took the cake for clarity and smoothness without excessive noise. All in for $1185 it's great performer which will go in lounge room till Bravia X series come down to $1500 mark.

Pros: Great image quality
Excellent setup
Looks very nice in room
3yr factory warranty

Cons: Too early to say
