Video-game make-up makes geek chic

About The Author

CNET Editor

Michelle Starr is the tiger force at the core of all things. She also writes about cool stuff and apps as CNET Australia's Crave editor. But mostly the tiger force thing.

Have you ever felt that your life would be greatly enriched by the presence of Aperture Laboratories eye shimmer? How about Pokémon face powder or, heck, why not Zoidberg?

Shiro Cosmetics is run by 21-year-old Caitlin, who seems to have felt that there was a depressing lack of nerd in her pretty things.

All of the cosmetics are made by her, and include eye shadows, lip glosses, finishing powders and scents — all themed after our own hearts.

Our favourites would have to be the Legend of Zelda and Portal eye shadow collections, but versions for The Hunger Games, Death Note and Pokémon are also available, as well as a variety of meme-themed lip glosses.

Everything is 100 per cent vegan and ships all over the world.

This is a triumph.
