    I have to agree with peripo, that didn't tell me any information that would help me decide whether Android is a good OS to look for in a phone.

    Hmmm, that didn't really explain what Android does, just where it came from. So how does it work? Is it similar to iPhone software in the way it works? Will average joe-blow with a bit of savvy be able to get into Android since it's open source? What standard apps is an Android smartphone likely to come with? Will it work with iTunes, or Linux based music software? How ram hungry will it be? Sorry, I've got about a hundred questions without really thinking too much about it.
    So, thanks for the 'explanation' but a few more facts would be terrific.
