Video-sharing site Vimeo has added a number of filters to change the look and feel of uploaded films.

Instagram-like filters for video are one click away.

Simply called "looks", the filters can be applied to any new or existing video as part of Vimeo's new enhance options. The filters cover a range of effects from simple black-and-white looks to more extreme vintage and 8mm film emulations.

There are over 500 looks available, with users being able to specify the intensity of the effect during the filtering process. You can also preview a before and after look at the video. According to TechCrunch, the filters will be available for free for the next 90 days. After that, you will have to pay US$1 for the privilege.

Recently, Vimeo also announced that it has bought the cinemagraph-app Echograph, to create small animated GIF images from videos.

If you are looking for a quick (and free) way to apply Instagram-like filters to videos, check out this neat solution by Brent Pierce, which lets you apply filters in After Effects and Final Cut Pro.
