Vodafone Mobile Connect 3G HSDPA Card
By David Flynn on 14 November 2006
Vodafone's enhanced notebook PC Card delivers what the mobile telco calls 'business class 3G broadband' — but until more of the 3G network is upgraded with HSDPA, most users will remain stuck in economy seats.

- Good: Ummm. The software does track your bandwidth usage.
- Bad: Too many dropouts. Never going back to this technology just coz of that
Bandwidth not high - maybe 125kbps where I live
Sllllooooowww. And very unreliable. Multiple dropouts. And the Mac OS management software is crap

- Good: Mobile
- Bad: Drops out at least 6 times an afternoon.
Spends most of logged on time dropping out. Hopeless for banking and chats.

- Good: Very effective and efficient
Great card, i am using since Jan 2007. I did not get any problem in it, and i recommend it for the internet lovers to use it on the way.

- Good: Nothing
- Bad: Very very poor - service is terrible
I've been with Vodafone since the first card came out. This latest card and firmware is useless - don't buy it.

Terrible - feels like gone back to dial up. Should have kept existing connection.

- Good: Cheap. Easy install.
- Bad: Very SLOW... not enough coverage.
I bought the modem last month (DEC '07) and only had a chance to use it now.. Overall, I don't think theres enough 3G coverage. I live in Sydney and it connection keeps switching from 3g to HSDPA constantly. The usage is not accurate either. You will need to call up vodafone to find out exactly what your usage is. When I asked Vodafone about this, they mentioned that this is a software fault and they are working to get this fixed.
