Earlier this week we gave you a list of ways that Android beats the iPhone at the smartphone game. And just to be fair, we now offer 10 areas where Apple's device fights back.

No market fragmentation is iPhone's weakness. In Android world you can get Google's phone and have newest updates as soon as possible (like in Apple's case), but you can also get different phones, physical keyboards, user interfaces, etc at the cost of later update. You have choice, in iPhone world - you don't.

Cut/copy is actually better on Android.

Android has true multitasking, great notification system, easier computer connection (even by wifi when using apps from Market, you don't have to run iAppleSpecialAppForSyncing which is only for Windows and OSX), tethering (USB or Wifi), widgets, social systems integration (with integration contacts/calendar/etc, so you'll know when your friend has birthday if he mentioned it on fe Facebook), more capitalistic appstore (but it's true that still Apple's store apps are of better quality), can work as external storage and you have wider hardware choice.

Good news for Android if these are the only benefits of iPhone.

As a business tool - Google wins.

As an entertainment device - iPhone wins.

A phone that is easy to use.... it's what i always wanted and i got it. I'm fully converted and love my iphone. I'm a tech head but i'm a tech head that just wants IT TO WORK DAMMIT! and dammit the iphone is sweet. Nothing is simple anymore, nothing just works. I'm so so sick of spending so much time fixing things and getting things to work. The Iphone just works and works so well. itunes is great as well. I'm not sure why the editor refers to it as a bottleneck. I've used all media players with my 11000 song library and nothing is easier than itunes. Good riddance WMP, musicmatch and mediamonkey. And the syncing, haha, it's just too good to be true.

itunes is unecessarily resource heavy and all rights to digital media purchased through itunes' store are subject to change at Apple's will. Apple also make it hard for you to make any use of another manager because of updates. At the end of the day you always need itunes.

the point is that if android user "bob" decides to manage his device quickly with a card reader and his choice of player, he can while iphone users can't.. as easily, legally etc etc

This should've been a Nexus One vs iPhone. Obvious winner is obvious.

Exactly... Nexus One is the obvious winner.

Notepad--Android cann even let u add notes based on location. So if u walk pass an ATM it can remind u that u need to take out cash for rent.

Also when u reach ur uni it auto. goes into silent mode.

And so on ...(big list)
