What printer does the pro who shot these images use?
By Pam Carroll on 13 September 2006
As he's using it in his own studio, professional photographer Douglas Kirkland came along to the Asia Pacific launch of the HP Photosmart Pro B9180 printer in Beijing to endorse its touted claims of colour accuracy, consistancy and speed.
Kirkland wowed the audience with samples from his vast portfolio of celebrity images. His photojournalism career took off in the 1960s/70s with stints at both Look and Life magazines. He has also worked on the sets of more than 100 motion pictures and tales of how he captured many of his iconic images proved highly entertaining.
Kirkland shot this photo of Marilyn Monroe in 1961. Other A-list celebrities in what he calls his Collectables collection include Elizabeth Taylor, Audrey Hepburn, Judy Garland, Ann Margret and Farah Fawcett.
