Will Apple offer ratings for iPhone games?

Most iPhone games are clearly appropriate for all audiences, but others, including some of the most fierce shooter games, may not be kid-friendly, at least from parents' perspectives.

@Patrick, that's exactly what i was thinking... Check out Guitar Rock Tour for an example (scroll to the bottom of the app page)

Don't iTunes apps already have a ratings system? If you look in the parental controls area of iTunes preferences it has an option to restrict access to apps and games rated 4+, 7+, 12+ or 17+. Anyway it would be interesting see how they would get it to work here as Apple would have to use the OFLC ratings on our store.

    I think it's a bad idea because
most of the apps are suitable for children and I don't think a 5 year old would be downloading to many apps from the app store any way
