For Windows XP users, Windows Media Player 11 is a must-have upgrade. It's Microsoft's best jukebox effort to date, thanks to a thoughtful redesign, impressive performance, and a ton of useful features.

- Good: Clean look, free
- Bad: Can't turn off album art in the list pane, which often takes up half of the space so I only have a limited view of th playlist
Album art sounds like a good idea, but it just ends up cluttering the screen.

- Good: nice skin
- Bad: album art for songs that don't have art is a waste of space, 2 seconds between tracks when recording, and editing track information was much easier in wmp 10
2 seconds between tracks when burning kills the wmp. How hard is it to include the option for no pause between tracks? I have to use Nero instead which sucks because tracklist doesn't show up when I reinsert disc.

- Good: Bill Gates should stop investing his money in crack cocaine. Its the only explanation I can think of.
Pros: Quick Install. Didn't cost money (very good considering what I think of it).
Cons: Everything else. From WMP 10 to WMP 11 no new formats were added (still need a plugin for mpc files and still can't burn them), that dimmed 2 second pause between songs! I honestly think that Microsoft is just trying to play at the "user experience" without following through.

- Good: Looks good
- Bad: Videos about 3 seconds in the go slow motion for about 5 secs then around 80% through the video or song the music jumps regardless of type of file
Not very impressed

- Good: I did not need any of the PROS on this release.
- Bad: I use M3U playlists. I have M3Us embedded in other M3Us. Under MP10 this behaves like windows explorer; you pull up an M3U with embedded M3Us and you see a plus sign to the left of each embedded playlist. Clicking on the "+" expands the embedded list to reveal its selectable contents. MP11 shows the embedded lists; they cannot be expanded nor can individual songs be selected from them. I have rolled back to MP10 indefinitely.
My criticism of MP11 is it removes functionality I use.

- Good: Nice interface, easy to use for the most part
- Bad: URGE and bulky DRM software stuff
Yeah it takes a long time to load between the songs, but this should fix it:
