Windows Vista Ultimate
By Robert Vamosi on 29 January 2007
Windows Vista is essentially warmed-over Windows XP. If you're currently happy with Windows XP SP2, we see no compelling reason to upgrade. On the other hand, if you need a new computer right now, Windows Vista is stable enough for everyday use.

All style - No substance
OK, it looks über cool, and there are a few nifty little features that I really look forward to, but at the same time it seems like it's the new Windows 95: great new look, loads of new features, full of bugs and chews through way too much in the way of system resources to deliver it. I can almost guarantee there won't be a truly stable version for another few years at least. Then I might buy it. Maybe.

Vista will be junk
Where is the new faster file system? Hopefully they start patching all the bugs that will be popping up for the next 3 years after it is released and Bill gets his money. The new high resolution desktop icons im sure will make it into the final system requirements

Better than the Mac beta
Since this is beta software, it is only fair to compare it to other beta software. I have used both Vista and the Mac OS x86 and i'd rather keep messing around with Vista than OS x86. The Vista beta is much more stable than the Mac beta. What? A Mac unstable? Yea, they are both beta, remember? Most people here don't seem to realize that. I look forward to the final version of Vista, but so far the Mac beta only crushed my interest in Macs. I was thinking about getting one in the future, but I think I'll stick with Windows.

In the future..
this is crappy "inovation." I can't wait for the free google OS based on Linux with its free "office" software and free well everything...your desktop everywhere and anywhere...;-)

Windows Vista is just a bad copy of Mac osx that will not work. You should just get a mac
