Zensonic Z500

By Jeremy Roche on 08 August 2006

Although the Zensonic Z500 played back almost every type of multimedia file we had, an unintuitive user interface and buggy firmware issues let down what could otherwise be a great device.

    Works TODAY..,

    Worry about tomorrow - tomorrow..
If it does what it's supose to do today then Great. Why put it off if you think BluRay is just around the corner, I bet once BluRay comes ther'll be another break through in some better product. (oh has anyone read the lastest on BluRay - looks like there is 2 standards NOT 1, VHS or Beta again)
But how cool is it to play movies/music from my PC in the Office to the Cinema Room Downstaris and still be able put in a DVD into it.
    Yes this has my Vote.

the downside isnt really a downside

HD/Blue-ray will be out, but this baby can play hd codec anyway. Someone will obviously crack into the hd-dvd and you'll still be able to play high def movies. My patience for this product is wearing thin, but I still can't wait until it comes out.

    No H.264

Makes it a still born, as far as I am concerned.
